Maura Davies is past President and Chief Executive Officer of the Saskatoon Health Region. Since retiring from this role in 2014, Maura has established a private consulting practice, working with organizations and teams to enhance quality, patient safety, governance and patient- and family-centred care.
Maura has over 35 years’ experience in health care as a clinical dietitian, educator and senior executive. She holds Bachelor degrees in science and education and a Master’s degree in health services administration. She is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Health Leaders and a national and international surveyor for Accreditation Canada.
Maura is a member of the board of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices. She served on the Governing Council of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the boards of the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council and Saskatchewan Academic Health Sciences Network. Maura was chair of the board of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. Maura has received numerous awards for her leadership and contributions to her profession.
