The VON employee engagement program was developed as part of fostering an environment where employees feel valued and appreciated. Through survey feedback, employees requested a simple way to recognize both day-to-day contributions, as well as employees who contribute over and above, going out of their way to exemplify VON core values. The recognition program is driven by colleagues, not management. Any employee can nominate a co-worker or a supervisor for an MVP. MVPs are mailed to employees’ homes so they can share their success with family members.
