The Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients (STOP) Program offers smoking cessation treatment to smokers across Ontario. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and coordinated from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), STOP aims to deliver smoking cessation treatment directly to patients as well as using existing healthcare system. Facilitated through the use of technology and a fundamental rethinking of roles of practitioners and patients, the STOP Program has created new models of care for provision for smoking cessation treatment and empowers patients to seek treatments and self-management.
