CSSS du Grand Littoral established an intensive monitoring team responsible for mental health services. In developing these services, the CSSS was inspired by the PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment) model, widely recognized in scientific literature as an assessment model with positive outcomes for clients. Given that CSSS du Grand Littoral clients have difficulty accepting traditional mental health services, the CSSS agreed to develop a model, with the assistance of CHAU Hôtel-Dieu in Lévis, that ensures greater continuity and integration of services. This concerted effort helped define a model for treating patients, overseeing their rehabilitation and return to their living environment. To round out this model, the two institutions joined forces with a community organization, the Société de réintégration et d’intégration dans la communauté (SRIC), which has developed expertise in crisis housing.
