The Matrix Mentoring initiative has helped better prepare and expose potential managerial candidates to real time experiences in management. It has also exposed candidates to departments outside of their current workplace, and offered other opportunities to see various management styles, as relationships are built. Management has been exposed to thecandidates from other departments which exposes management to potential future leaders / managers. Matrix Mentoring is based on a research model: A linkage between District Staff and Cape Breton University School of Business faculty S. Finney PhD.
