The primary goal of the REACH clinic is to reduce the number of visits to the Emergency Department and admissions to hospital. REACH functions as an emergency clinic for oncology outpatients in need of stabilization, investigation and/or possible admission. Our outcomes: reduced oncology patient Emergency Department (ED) visits, reduced LOS in ED when a visit cannot be avoided, reduced demand for oncology acute inpatient care, improved quality of care, and increased patient/family satisfaction.
