Realtime Dashboards Driving Action During COVID-19

The landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic required agile thinking and action to ensure the safety of our workforce and patients. To facilitate decision making, accurate real-time data was required to guide leaders in critical decision making to support ongoing operational activities without comprimising staff or patient safety. Real-time electronic dashboards were created to provide data to guide daily staffing, testing, and isolation decisions across our organization. Leadership utilized the data to determine operational status: conventional, contingency or crisis level response and isolation for healthcare workers. By utilizing real-time employee health dashboards data, our organization was able to quickly identify and respond to infectious outbreaks, making evidence based decisions throughout the pandemic while minimizing staffing and operational disruptions caused by required testing and isolation.
