The Assiniboine Regional Health Authority (ARHA) is a large geographic region with numerous sites and programs. The organization has implemented an e-Learning web-based program that allows staff Internet access to all types of education opportunities and communication tools. Many of the mandatory Self-Learning Packages, such as, Client Abuse, can be tracked by Quadrant Human Resources (QHR) database to facilitate evidence of compliance by applicable staff. The site was customized to meet the needs of all ARHA staff. To realize significant reduction in expenses for learner and educator, eLearning provides staff education in lieu of or in addition to traditional training. The Education delivered in a timely manner promotes the delivery of safe, quality care. E-learning is environmentally and financially responsible, decreasing travel needs in a large geographical region.
