The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario’s competency training program is self-paced, interactive, on-line training that takes full advantage of CHEO’s Learning Management System. The program has increased awareness of hospital policies, procedures and forms related to blood product administration. It has also strengthened the working relationship between the laboratory and clinical departments as evidenced by increased dialogue and shared continuous quality initiatives.
