Using information technology to support the Annapolis Valley District Health Authority’s Interdisciplinary Mortality and Morbidity Review processes has allowed the clinicians to focus their time on the actual review of the cases. With the IT tools, the requirement for clerical support is minimal or non-existent. Now, using these tools, clinicians are able to focus their skills and knowledge on the one aspect of the process where they are required: the actual review of cases.
