Today, Health Standards Organization (HSO) announced the joining of Kaye Phillips to lead a new department – Program Excellence, effective Feb. 5, 2018. A seasoned health professional, Phillips brings more than 15 years of experience to HSO in health care improvement research, collaborative program design, implementation, evaluation, spread and scale.
Prior to joining HSO, Phillips held the position of Senior Director, Programs and Evaluation at the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI). Phillips notes that she was drawn to HSO’s global mandate to achieve quality health services for all.
“I was motivated by HSO’s ambitious mandate, energetic leadership and commitment to achieving quality health services by putting people first,” Phillips says.
She adds that in her new role, she is looking forward to creating new, tailored programs and services. “I’m looking forward to collaborating to create and deliver actionable, clinically relevant and tailored programs and services that meet the needs of local contexts and achieve demonstrable patient and system outcomes,” she said.
Sébastien Audette, President of HSO, notes that Phillips’ unique skill set will enable HSO to enhance its capacity to develop innovative programs that meet the needs of policy-makers as well as patients, and that demonstrate a clear link to outcomes.
“We are very excited to have Kaye joining the team, as she brings years of experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of health improvement programs and initiatives,” Audette says. “As a system thinker, she is well-positioned to foster integration among our different programs, enable positive program client experiences and steer towards positive patient outcomes.”
