HSO is pleased to welcome two accomplished leaders to its Board of Directors: Shannon MacDonald, ICD.D, FCPA, and Sylvie Pinsonnault, ICD.D, MBA. Their appointments bring a wealth of experience and strategic insight to HSO’s mission of improving health care quality worldwide.

Shannon MacDonald is a Partner in EY Canada’s National Healthcare Practice, where she leads Digital Healthcare. Shannon brings decades of experience in strategic planning, executive facilitation, and governance across the health and public sectors. She currently serves as Board Chair at the University of Prince Edward Island, where she is leading a comprehensive governance renewal. Shannon also serves on the board of the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, contributing her expertise in policy development and board leadership.

Sylvie Pinsonnault brings over 35 years of accomplished leadership in the financial sector, with a strong focus on strategy, growth, innovation, and sustainable development. As former Senior Vice-President at Investissement Québec, she led transformative initiatives that reshaped the organization’s strategic direction. Sylvie currently serves on several boards, including La Vie en Rose, LCI Education Network, and Revenu Québec, and is recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).

The addition of Shannon and Sylvie enhances the depth and diversity of HSO’s Board of Directors. Their leadership and insight will further strengthen HSO’s commitment to excellence in health standards, assessments and innovation.
